Active system of the warning of the term of approach planned THAT (ASSYST)

Urgent term THAT is displayed on the control panel.

The indicator gives information on the optimum term of work on THAT.

Approximately a month before the expiration of carrying out after inclusion of ignition or during the movement on the multipurpose display indication THAT automatically appears.

On the display the following messages can appear:

"SERVICE IN xx DAYS" (THAT THROUGH хх DAYS)
"SERVICE IN xx KM" (THAT AFTER the RUN хх KM)
"SERVICE EXCEEDED BY xx KM" (THAT is DELAYED ON хх by KM)
"CARRY OUT SERVICE!" (CARRY OUT THAT!)

Depending on style of driving term THAT is displayed in days or in kilometers (KM).

If carrying out term THAT is delayed, the sound signal in addition joins.

Indication THAT is automatically switched off in 30 seconds or pressing of the button R on the control panel.

Manual call of indication THAT

Turn an electronic key in the lock of ignition in situation 1.

At not displayed measuring instrument of a run and the counter of the general run several times press the button on a multipurpose wheel of steering until indication appears (Undressed the Multipurpose steering wheel, the multiinformation display).

Or press the button several times until indication THAT appears.

Pressing of the button displays the following system.

The indicator does not display the level of motive oil. (Precautionary indication of level of motive oil — address the Section the Multipurpose steering wheel, the multiinformation display of the previous Chapter).

The run distance between two separate THAT depends on style of driving.

The sparing style of driving at average of turns of the engine and avoiding of trips on short distances raise a run distance.

If the rechargeable battery is disconnected, the indicator does not consider idle time.

For observance of terms of carrying out THAT it is necessary to consider this period.

After carrying out maintenance of the indication of the indicator it is possible to dump as follows:

Turn an electronic key in the lock of ignition in situation 1.

At not displayed measuring instrument of a run and the counter of the general run press the button on a multipurpose wheel of steering several times until indication appears (Undressed the Multipurpose steering wheel, the multiinformation display of the previous Chapter).

Or press the button several times until indication THAT appears.

Press the button R on the control panel about 2 seconds.

On the multipurpose display the inquiry appears:

"DO YOU WANT TO RESET SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BY PRESSING R" (YOU WISH TO DUMP FREQUENCY THAT? CONFIRM WITH THE R) BUTTON

Press the button R on the control panel once again, indication That is dumped.

There is an urgent indication THAT with a new run.

If dumping of indications of the indicator was made mistakenly, updating of indications of the indicator can be made at the Mercedes-Benz station.

Precautionary indication of level of motive oil

When checking level of oil the car has to be in horizontal position.

You carry out control of level of oil approximately in 5 minutes after a stop of the heated-up engine.

Turn an electronic key in the lock of ignition in situation 2.

At not displayed measuring instrument of a run and the counter of the general run press the button on a multipurpose wheel of steering several times until indication appears.

Or on a multipurpose steering wheel press the button several times until indication of level of motive oil "WHEN MEASURING CAR MUST BE LEVEL!" appears (AT MEASUREMENT the CAR HAS TO STAND EXACTLY!). This indication appears only for a reminder; if the car is not necessary exactly, measurement can be interrupted with pressing of the button or. If measurement is not interrupted, then it will lead to the wrong measurement — put the car on a plain surface and repeat measurement.

If there is a message "ENGINE OIL LEVEL SWITCH ON IGNITION!" (LEVEL of MOTIVE OIL — to INCLUDE IGNITION!), the electronic key in the lock of ignition is not in situation 2.

Approximately in 3 seconds indication "ENGINE OIL LEVEL MEASURING NOW appears!" (LEVEL of MOTIVE OIL — PROCESS of MEASUREMENT PROCEEDS!)

On the display the following messages can appear:

"OIL LEVEL CORRECT" (DOLIVK OF OIL IS NOT REQUIRED)

"ADD 1.0 LITRES OF OIL!" (TO ADD 1 LITRE OF OIL)

"ADD 1.5 LITRES OF OIL!" (TO ADD 1.5 LITRES OF OIL)

"ADD 2.0 LITRES OF OIL!" (TO ADD 2.0 LITRES OF OIL)

"REDUCE OIL LEVEL!" (TO REDUCE OIL LEVEL!)

Excessive oil should be merged or pumped out. There is a danger of damage of the engine or catalyst.

Filling of motive oil — address the Section Replacement of Motive Oil and Oil Filter.

If the correct measurement of level of oil is impossible, indication "MEASURING NOW NOT POSSIBLE appears!" (MEASUREMENT is IMPOSSIBLE AT PRESENT).

Repeat measurement of level of oil after a while.

If oil level is not displayed again, the level of oil can be also checked by a masloizmeritelny core (address the Section Check of Levels of Liquids, control of leaks).

If on the multipurpose display at the working engine indication of level of motive oil appears — address the section "Warning System and Alarm System of Malfunctions" (The section Precautionary and control lamps, and also messages of the multiinformation display on the registered malfunctions of the previous Chapter).

Level of oil cannot be controlled at the working engine, there is an indication of "ENGINE OIL LEVEL NOT WHEN ENGINE ON" (it is IMPOSSIBLE to CONTROL the LEVEL of MOTIVE OIL AT the WORKING ENGINE)
